A Franciscan Prayer Book
Multi Auctores

St. Francis's entire life was focused on nothing so much as prayer. While he hated to see anyone poorer than he, and would literally give the shirt off his back to anyone who asked it; while he loved everything in God's creation, and sang songs to its glory; fundamentally, first and foremost, he was the herald of the Great King of all, and focused his life on prayer. In this volume, one will find all of the prayers which he wrote himself, including the Office of the Lord's Passion, which is rarely printed anywhere else, and even more rarely in English, along with a great number of other prayers that will be loved by those who follow St. Francis. A novena; prayers to the Five Wounds; a litany of St. Francis with all his many glorious titles; and all of his own words, prayers or not, with the exception of his Rules. The âVerba Admonitionisâ (words of warning), containing short admonitions to his brothers; his letter to Brother Leo; the âGreeting of the Virtuesâ; all present here. The entirety is in Latin and English in matching columns. A true treasure for the lover of this great saint.
Praise be to Christ the King!
